Keir recently renovated a bathroom for us in our farmhouse in rural Alberta. The existing space was in dire need of upgrades. There were problems with mould, the floor covering was missing and torn in places, the tub and surround were ancient, rusting cracked and poorly installed, the only window had been build over and badly covered, the ceiling was falling in, the storage space was unfinished and everything from ants to mice and squirrels could get in through the holes. We asked for quotes from other contractors, two of whom advised us to simply build over the problems rather than do the work to fix them. (After six weeks we still haven't heard back from them) Keir did an outstanding job of turning our nightmare into a truly beautiful bathroom. There were challenges. The ceiling was holding back years of dirt and debris which had to be remediated. Because we had a lovely antique clawfoot tub Keir sourced for us, the floor needed reinforcement for the added weight. The angles in there weren't quite square of course. We used repurposed tiles and some leftover from another reno -Keir was able to make these work together nicely even though they were never intended to be used together. Since we're so far from any major centre, Keir had to do some things himself that he might otherwise have subcontracted. Everything he took on was finished professionally and the entire job was done on time. We are delighted with the whole room, but especially happy with the mirror Keir made using an old window frame we found on the property. It fits the space to a tee. From start to finish we were pleased with Keir's work and impressed with his work ethic. He was respectful of our needs (this is the only toilet in the house) and accommodated the unavoidable interruptions. We would most certainly hire Lamar Carpentry again.
I'm so happy with my tree planters! Keir went above and beyond to make them perfect. He is very meticulous and his work ethic is second to none.
